Finger Lakes Region

The Finger Lakes region truly is a gem of the United States. Wine country, beautiful lakes, good people and some outstanding trout streams. Keuka Lake and Canandaigua Lake have their own tributaries that lake-run rainbows spawn in during the spring, leading to some fantastic fishing. Lake Ontario tributaries continue to be angler-magnets and technical trout anglers can always target Oatka Creek and the Cohocton River. The great city of Rochester is nearby, and both residents and anglers can enjoy a great local culture while being in the midst of wonderful waters.

Our chapters in the Finger Lakes Region have an important job to do in keeping watch over the streams and tributaries in the area, and are frequently working an improvement project. In an area that has high-traffic and moderate industrialization, keeping our waters clean and viable requires constant attention.
